INSTRON 8802 Servohydraulic Fatigue Testing System

The Instron 8802 Servohydraulic Fatigue Testing System is a mechanical system for:

  • fatigue testing (application of a large number of cycles under stress or movement),
  • dynamic characterization in a limited frequency range (from 0.1 to about 100 Hz),
  • tensile strength measurements at speeds greater than the range provided by standard electromechanical tensile test equipment,
  • transient mechanical testing using profiles generated by software or from text or Excel files,
  • carrying out complex tests with a series of different loads.

Specifications

- Frequency range: 0.1 to 100 Hz,

- Actuator stroke: ±75 mm,

- Maximum load capacity: ±50 kN (static + dynamic load),

- Control: dynamic and/or static displacement or force,

- Excitation profile: sinewave, sawtooth, arbitrary (from Excel or text files),

- 40 kHz sampled feedback; automatic feedback loop adjustment, limit detection, PID,

- Load cell with 19 bit resolution,

- T slot bed,

- 2 additional sensor inputs (4 in all).

- Thermal chamber WEISS: - 70 °C to 200 °C

- Hydraulic accumulator (6 l)

The system has two servo-valves (model G761; 65 l/min) and an Instron 3520 hydraulic pump with an operating pressure of 206 bar and a maximum flow of 78 l/min
